  • As part of the event closure activities, need to write to SFI and express concerns over website and the trouble that changing the URL caused everyone for promotion, publicity etc. (From email b/w George and Kathy: What I would be inclined to do is feed our concerns back after the event, as part of the event closure activities, and as part of a broader 'what SFI could be doing better to support teams' email.)

What we said we would report on in the grant application

Evaluation of previous years' events has incorporated the following measures of success;

  • Attendance rates
  • Verbal and anecdotal feedback from participants
  • Media coverage
  • Estimates of time donated by volunteers to help produce the event
  • Increased participation at similar events such as Linux User Group meetings

We also intend to conduct a visitor survey to measure engagement and the understanding of key issues. The survey will provided as a form of in kind support by Greenware IT.

We would be happy to provide another post event report of similar quality again this year.
